3D certificate on acrylic:

The Certificate with spot 3D was presented to participants at DMI Workshop on July 28-30, 2011. It was completely screen printed with UV inks on clear acrylic.

The think tanks at Image Care choose to print on acrylic as they wanted to make it unique in all respects since many other printing processes cannot print directly on acrylic as effectively as screen printing process. The DMI workshop Certificate was not only designed to give 3D effect but also to give basic variable detail, which did not need 3D effect. So we have decided to make border in 3D. With spot colors border and other details were printed and finally lens effect is given with UV varnish only to the border area to get 3D effect. White background was given to get clear readability.

Usually 3D or lenticular prints are produced using other technology. This usually has its effects on complete print area. What if someone wants that effect on selected area only?

In a nutshell it is about creating fusion of your designing elements with screen printing skills, using quality technology and materials. With innovation and right technology in place, the screen printing world is can be your creative playground. Why not explore it!

Feedback:

I happened to see DMI's striking screen printed samples at Grafica's stall in Dubai exhibition. Since then I was curious to know more about value addition, and my wish is now fulfilled. Shalini Pinto, Graphic Care LLC, UAE
