With 2 nano-print produces L.K. Fashions heat transfers with a fashion
Taking a break from the traditional non-woven label printing business, Kolkata based L.K. Fashion has ventured into heat transfer business with a fashion by investing in two Grafica's Nano-Print, along with Nano-Texdryer and Nano-Screen Maker 5-in-1. The company has also recently invested in Grafica's nano-prinTex to meet its inhouse DTG screen printing requirement as earlier the company had huge manual screen printing set up.
An interview with Manoja Manjari Pradhan, Incharge of admin at L.K. Fashion:
Why did you venture into
Heat transfer business?
We witnessed surge in demand for heat transfer (neck labels) while demand for non woven was sliding due to following possible reasons:
- Heat transfer is cost effective
- More productivity possible with less labour
- No etch feeling especially for kids.
What are factors that you
considered while choosing
Grafica's screen printing
There is indeed a feel good factor when you associate with Grafica. We feel more comfortable to deal with their cooperative team as much as their machine is comfortable to print heat transfers. Their machines hardly require any maintenance despite continuous production. I can say their technical support is the best, at the very initial stage itself their technical expert was here for couple of days to streamline production right from design to final production, and even on the phone they are able to guide us effectively as a result we are able to produce heat transfer effortlessly. Moreover, we had the opportunity of attending DMI workshop to understand fundamentals of advanced screen printing and its application in heat transfer printing.
