Hani finds more 'money' in value added garment tags
Rajesh Poojary, the proprietor of Bengaluru based Hani Inc has discovered more money in value added garment tags and heat transfers printing. And he says: “Value addition is where the money is.”
He had the fortune of attending two separate DMI workshops on garment printing and value addition (graphics/commercial), respectively. “In these workshops I learnt the tricks of UV special effects which we now innovatively apply on garment tags for value addition. Earlier, we used to offer tags with spot UV (gloss and matt),” says Rajesh, who has been into screen printing business for the last 30 years, exclusively catering to garment industry.
“Additionally, in another workshop I learnt the art of heat transfer printing and garment screen printing. Following this, we ventured into heat transfer printing,” he adds.
Hani Inc is a total print solution provider to garment industry. They also undertake all types of commercial printing service for garment industry which include: product catalog, waist bands, brochure, accessories, booklet, and total printing work required for garment fairs in Bengaluru. The company also supplies tags and heat transfers to denim, shirts and trouser manufacturers in Bengaluru, Bellary, Tirupur, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad. Hani makes 400 to 1000 gsm tags which come with or without lamination, 100% screen printed, offset and screen printing (spot UV/special effects) combo. The company has deployed Grafica Nano-Print plus, Nano-Screen Maker 5-in-1 and Hot Air Dryer.
“Almost 90% of our tags come with value addition only. So without screen printing/value addition, survival in printing business is bit difficult; and screen is the cheapest way to offer value addition with high return,” concludes Rajesh.
